Saratoga Student Intent for 2024 - 25 School Year

 

Dear Saratoga Families,

Each year we ask families to share their intentions for the next school year.  Please indicate if you are planning to return to Saratoga for the 2024-25 school year.  Please complete one form per student you have at Saratoga Elementary School. If you are not returning to Saratoga ES, please select the appropriate statement.  This information is important as staffing is based on enrollment and state regulations require that we determine the educational intentions of students leaving FCPS. If you are returning to Saratoga ES, please share your input in writing using this form.  Developing the classes for next year is a collaborative effort that includes teachers, school counselors, and administrators. We also value parent input when making these decisions. We ask parents who have input they want to share to put their feedback in writing using this form. Every year we have staff who move from Saratoga or who move positions within Saratoga. Please do not request specific teachers, rather the characteristics of a teacher that you think will be a good match for your child. PTA Family Spanish Club

HOLA! Come to the Family Saratoga Spanish Club where “We don’t talk about Bruno!” …or DO we? We can talk about a lot of Spanish things when you come to this Family Spanish Club. If you’ve ever wanted to learn the multiple ways to say “hello, how are you or what’s up?” or even just how to talk about your favorite movie, sport or activity, then come to Family Spanish Club. If you like singing songs, playing, or learning a new language and culture, then come to Spanish Club! “Tú puedes hablar español!” (YOU CAN SPEAK SPANISH!).

FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form

On Monday, March 18, Saratoga parents/guardians will be sent an email containing a link to complete the online FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form. This questionnaire is part of the VDOE-mandated Performance Evaluation Program for principals and offers parents/guardians an opportunity to provide anonymous input about various topics related to our school. These topics include how the principal demonstrates/impacts instructional leadership, school climate, management, communication and community relations, culturally responsive and equitable leadership, and professionalism within the school.

 

The questionnaire will be administered between March 18 and April 5. When you receive an email from FCPS Surveys, please take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your feedback matters!

PTA Family Bingo Night

March 8th 6-8pm

Join the Saratoga PTA for a fun filled evening for a spring fundraiser with bingo games, raffles and concession sales. 20+ raffle baskets include a Mount Vernon family membership, Lego Experience tickets, painting by Ms. Will, K-2 Book basket and more!

Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.   

 

Here’s what you need to know about the big event, which will take place from March 4 - 8 at the school library. 

Family Night: Parents and caregivers can shop on Wednesday 6th, from 4-8pm.

 

Say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
