abigail raganCongratulations to Assistant Principal Abigail Ragan who was recognized as the FCPS 2021 Region 3 Outstanding School-Based Leader and one of the six finalists for the FCPS Outstanding School-Based Leader at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at Jiffy Lube Live on June 9th.

Abby is a champion for students who values working as a community to support students’ needs. She collaborates with all stakeholders to support students’ academic and socio-emotional growth, ensuring each person’s voice is heard. Abby’s culture of trust creates a climate where staff have autonomy to make decisions, reflect and refine current practices and processes to best meet the needs of each student. Abby is a constant support, with her unending smile and humor, to guide them by applauding what’s going well, empowering them, and supporting next steps while keeping students’ needs at the center. A student noted, “She helps people when they are sad, cheers them up, and speaks up for them!”
